- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Very unprofessional child support courtroom deputy. He approached me while on recess in the court room, and he is well aware that I am with the plaintiff that he has a personal issue with but he was speaking with his lawyer at the time. Asked me how was I doing, I replied fine and continued to look down at my phone. He is well in my personal space he then says "I heard you saying Amen back here" I said ummmhmmm and walked around him to go to my seat. he then says to me "keep it down next time", the whole time knowing that it wasn't me and after he followed me back to my seat and said you just admitted that you said it, I said no politely told him that I didn't say anything because I didn't want him talking to me .I was there with the defendant the deputy is "allegedly" having a romantic relationship with the plaintiff. I didn't know that I could not have a opinion of a deputy talking to me when I don't want to talk with him in court. After I left the court room with no problem, I went into the bathroom. The deputy followed me to the bathroom (for what reason I have no clue because at this point I am silent). I was in the stall with my pants down by myself using the bathroom and he opens the door and tells me that he can come in there and get me if he wants. He stood with one foot in the bathroom until I came out. He continued to say things to me but I ignored him and that's when he told me that I couldn't be in the building at all. I don't know what would have happened if he would have come into the bathroom because it was just me in there. It really made me nervous and I felt violated as a woman. Being told to "get out his court room" because I don't want to be bothered and followed to the bathroom and harassed doesn't seem right to me. What do you think?By Deon Tucker, April 12, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Wow. Thinking that maybe Joyce Alston only had a unique, horrible experience, I called them for assistance in a somewhat unique circumstance that I felt my own attorney has mishandled. The person that I spoke to, I would think it's the secretary, actually LAUGHED in my face over the phone when I asked the question. If I'm calling a law office to potentially hire them for WHATEVER reason, I OBVIOUSLY feel that it's a serious enough affair to try and do so. Horrifically unprofessional and downright disrespectful. I can't speak for the competence of the attorney, I never made it that far because she actually hung up before I could say or ask anything else. Aside from assisting the attorneys, the secretary, as with associates of Walmart, cashiers at a bank, salespersons at a car dealership, are REPRESENTATIVES of that given entity, in this case Williams and Bagshawe, LLP. Reminds me of a car dealership on Capitol Blvd that missed out on a $122,000!!!! sale because they thought my friend couldn't afford the car, which he drove directly across the street and purchased from their competition minutes later. This law firm will continuously get bad reviews because most people will only deal with the rude and unprofessional secretary. Just judging from my experience and that of Ms Alston I'd say she's cost the company much more money in lost clients than whatever her salary is. Would I recommend them to anyone else? HELL NO. Banzet, Thompson and Styers is a great law firm, both with well known, respected attorneys, as well as very hospitable legal assistants and secretaries. Even if they can't help you, they'll at LEAST explain why AND give suggestions as to who can or what you should do about it yourself.By Sean Harley, March 25, 2017
